Who We Are

At Puppy Power, we believe everything, everyone, and everywhere is better with puppies. Science agrees. There is research showing being around puppies can have a positive effect on us physically and mentally- boosting mood, lowering stress, and increasing feelings of happiness. Puppy Power works hard to create an environment that cultivates a special, joyful experience for you and your groups.

Serving Columbia and Charleston in beautiful South Carolina, choose from our main offerings of puppy yoga and puppy therapy, or work with us to craft the perfect event for you. Our puppy staff all come from our local rescue partners. In Columbia, our puppy partners are Final Victory Animal Rescue. In addition to providing a safe environment for the puppies to have positive socialization and exposure, a significant portion of every event’s proceeds goes to the rescue. In 2025, we were able to contribute nearly $10k to rescues.

We host our own events, and we’re also available for private events. Puppy Power is a great choice for increasing workplace wellness, building sorority sisterhood, or building bonds on your team. We also can help with residence life connection, bachelorette parties, birthday parties, and professional development people will actually look forward to. If you’re in town for the weekend or in town for the night with a concert, we can build a special, joyful event for you.

Our Main Puppy Power Offerings

Puppy Yoga

Puppies + Movement = Amazing.

Come for the yoga, or come for the puppies. Enjoy 45 minutes of a beginner’s flow yoga session with one of our experienced yoga instructors. Then, we will have 30 minutes of social time with our certified adorable puppy staff. We host yoga regularly, but we also can craft a special private Puppy Power Yoga event for you and your group or team!

Puppy Parties

Your Party + Puppies = Best Party Ever!

Have we mentioned that puppies make everything better? This includes your party. Puppies are the perfect complement to your bachelorette party weekend, your kid’s birthday party, a graduation party, holiday party, or a party just because you like puppies. You plan the party. We bring the puppy power!

Puppy Therapy

Puppies + Petting = Improved Mood.

Just being around puppies can have a calming effect on us through a release of serotonin and dopamine in our brains. With our puppy therapy option, we bring the puppies to you so your residents, employees, or whatever special group you have can enjoy time with our puppy staff and each other. Our puppy pen will feel like an escape from the world and into Puppy Power Heaven! Speaking of Puppy Heaven, choose from our regular puppy therapy option, or cater to your event with more space and puppies with our Puppy Heaven option.

About Ben

Ben Ehrlich is a career educator who is entering his 18th year as a teacher at Blythewood High School. Much of his background is in performance psychology and athletics, with his work including teaching sport/performance psychology, mental coaching for the athletic department, coaching development, and student-athlete leadership development. In addition to his work at Blythewood, Ben has experience working in college baseball, at IMG Academy, and with the Arizona Diamondbacks. Puppy Power blends Ben’s passions for helping others, performance, and puppies. He looks forward to helping you and your group enjoy and disconnect.
